The multichannel outreach stack that actually works

Email + LinkedIn outreach produces 2-3x the reply rates of email alone. The missing piece in most stacks is not the sequencer - it is the data layer. Here is how to build a stack that runs.

The actual multichannel stack

Three layers. Each does one job. Together they replace $500+/month in tool subscriptions.

Data Layer

Rova ($49 one-time)

Pulls verified emails, LinkedIn URLs, phone, company description per prospect. This is what feeds everything else. Without it, you are manually researching contacts or paying Apollo $149/month for data you do not fully control.

Email Layer

Instantly or Smartlead ($30-60/month)

Automated email sequences on warmed domains. Import the CSV from Rova directly. Three-touch sequences over 12 days. These tools are commodities - pick based on your volume.

LinkedIn Layer

LinkedIn + manual or Dripify ($40-80/month)

Connect request + message to the same prospects you emailed. Rova returns the LinkedIn company page URL per prospect. You find personal profiles from there. Adds a second touchpoint that many buyers see before they respond to email.

Inbox

Gmail or Outlook (free-$6/month)

Handle replies manually. Reply rate for a good multichannel campaign is 3-8%. At 400 prospects per month, that is 12-32 replies. Fully manageable without a dedicated inbox tool.

Total monthly cost: $70-150. Apollo alone costs $149/month before adding a sequencer. This stack does more for less.

Making multichannel outreach work

Email first, LinkedIn second

Send the email 24 hours before the LinkedIn connection. The prospect sees your name in their inbox, then sees your profile on LinkedIn. The second touchpoint feels familiar, not random. This timing difference alone improves connection accept rates.

Keep LinkedIn messages shorter than emails

LinkedIn messages are read in a different mindset. 3-4 sentences maximum. Reference the email only if they did not respond: "Sent you a quick note about [topic] - happy to connect here instead."

Personalize with the company description

Rova returns a company description for each prospect. Use the first sentence as context for your opening line. "Noticed you are focused on [their actual specialty]" is specific enough to avoid the spam folder without taking 10 minutes per contact to research manually.

Use LinkedIn to warm cold email, not replace it

LinkedIn's InMail response rates are often lower than cold email for B2B. The value of LinkedIn in a multichannel stack is the warmth signal, not the message itself. A prospect who accepted your connection is more likely to open your next email.

Start with the data layer

Every multichannel stack fails at the same place: bad data. Rova fixes that. Give it a list of domains, get back verified emails, LinkedIn URLs, phones, and company context. One-time $49.
